We know visiting a new church can feel like a big step, so we’ve put together some helpful info to help you plan your visit to New Life Pentecostal Church in Abbotsford, BC both comfortable and meaningful.
From the moment you arrive, we want you to feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged in your walk with God.
What will my first visit be like?
You’ll find a friendly atmosphere, uplifting worship, and a genuine desire to help you experience God’s presence.
Our services include singing, clapping, and moments where the Holy Spirit moves- sometimes evidenced by speaking in tongues, just as described in the book of Acts.
It’s all done with sincerity, reverence, and a heart to worship and grow closer to God.
What if I’m not Pentecostal or I’m new to church?
You are welcome here.
No matter your background, experience, or whether you’re exploring faith, you belong at New Life.
Many of us came to New Life without a Pentecostal background, so we understand what it’s like to be new.
At New Life, you’ll find a warm, patient, and friendly church family. Most importantly, you’ll find a place and opportunity to experience God, and grow in your faith.
Will someone help me when I arrive?
Absolutely!
Our greeters will welcome you at the door and can help you find seating, restrooms, directions to Children’s Church, or any other questions you may have.
Just let us know how we can serve you- we’re here to help!
Will there be music?
Yes! Our worship is lively, heartfelt, and Christ-centred.
You’ll hear a mix of contemporary songs, gospel, and meaningful hymns.
Our music helps create an atmosphere where people can praise, worship, and connect with God.
Do you have anything for kids and youth?
Absolutely!
Children (ages 5–11) can enjoy our fun and interactive Children’s Church most Sundays. Once a month, usually on the first Sunday, we have a Family Worship Sunday, where children stay in the main service with their families.
Our youth, ages 12–18, have youth-centred services and activities designed to help them grow in their faith and build strong friendships.
We love families at New Life, and we want to make it easy for you to plan your visit with children or teens. Our goal is that every child and teen feels welcomed, encouraged, connected, and ministered to.
What are Wednesday night Bible Studies like?
Wednesday nights are relaxed and focused on learning God’s Word.
Together, we walk through the Bible and discuss how God’s Word applies to everyday life. It’s a great setting for questions, discussion, and growing in your faith.
Are there ways to get connected at New Life?
Yes! Along with Children’s Church, Youth Services, weekly Bible Studies, and our Men’s and Ladies Ministries, we offer many opportunities to meet people and get involved.
We also host fellowship events throughout the year, which you can find on our church calendar or on our social media pages.
Whether you’re new to faith or have been in church your whole life, there’s a place for you to connect, grow, and build meaningful relationships here at New Life.
